In 1987, BikeSportz was founded by David and Sheryl Cramer as a wholesale offshoot of the Melbourne icon, Cecil Walker Cycles.
Super Record launched into the peloton and found its home in Australia.
The family-owned Minoura of Japan joined BikeSportz in 1987 and has been a manufacturer of outstanding cycling trainers, rollers, and accessories for over 90 years.
San Marco has been a name synonymous with excellence and success since 1935. The classic Rolls Saddle, used by some of the greatest names in cycling, is a testament to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that make San Marco products so sought after.
Warehouse Opened – 3B Macbeth St, Braeside.
In 1993, our team grew to 5 team members.
In 1994, our journey of growth continued as we expanded and moved to a larger warehouse.
By 1998, our success demanded that we take the next step and move into a larger warehouse located at 23C Industrial Drive Braeside, where we remain today.
We are proud to have been partners of Dutch cycling accessories giant BBB Cycling since the early beginning, and 25 years later we are still distributing their quality products.
By the year 2000, the BikeSportz team had grown to a dedicated group of 10 individuals.
In 2002, we were proud to welcome DT Swiss into the BikeSportz family. Their cycling components are renowned for their meticulous design and high-performance cycling components.
Scicon has been an integral part of the family since 2002, initially renowned for their exceptional luggage and bags.
In 2002, Santini became part of the BikeSportz family - a passionate, family-run business. Their commitment to quality and excellence has made them an industry leader, with their products being made in Italy with the utmost passion.
BikeSportz proudly joined forces with the Tour Down Under - one of Australia's most acclaimed cycling events.
In 2006, our team expanded significantly - we were now 15 strong!
In 2007 we welcomed Reynolds wheels. Famous for their well designed, engineered, and manufactured premium carbon fiber bicycle wheels sold and ridden around the world.
In 2009, BikeSportz made a huge leap forward with the launch of our first B2B website. This revolutionary platform enabled us to share exciting offers and new products with our dealers like never before.

2010 saw the BikeSportz team grow to over 20 employees.
Pure ingenuity and award-winning performance helped diversify BikeSportz into a new category with Hope Technology.
Morgan Blue, famous among pro teams and enthusiasts for their state-of-the-art oils, creams, cleaners, and lubricants designed for improved performance for cyclist, joined the BikeSportz family in 2010.
BikeSportz expanded further in 2011 to 25 and established the Service Team.
2011 saw Gemini Lights join the family. Born out of the Canadian mountain biking scene, Gemini have become synonymous with performance whether you’re on the trail, your daily commute, or the pro stage.
Cyclus Tools joined the BikeSportz family in 2011. Cyclus are known for their high quality tools for the professional bicycle workshop as well as team mechanics and demanding hobby grease monkeys who want the assurance of a well-made and quality controlled tool.
Northwave partnership was established in 2012. Known at the time for their speciality road, triathlon and MTB shoes and cleats, Northwave have since ventured into cycling apparel and accessories.
We welcomed Texas based Arundel to the BikeSportz family in 2013. Known for their quirky and unique designs, Arundel stock all sorts of bottle cages, bells, bar tapes, bags and tools.
We began our partnership with the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race in 2014. Victoria’s largest cycling event.
In 2015 BikeSportz sponsored the Jayco Herald Sun Tour.
In 2015 we began our partnership with the Bay Criteriums.
Our warehouse received a major tech overhaul in 2015 with added digitalisation which created an efficient, modern, and streamlined system.
2016 saw our staff rise to 30 team members and we welcomed General Manager Shannon Cramer.
In 2016, we took a bold step into uncharted territory and welcomed Science in Sport into the BikeSportz family, fuelling Australia’s athletes and recreational cyclists.
In 2017, Hamax joined the BikeSportz family and has since been providing safe, comfortable, and innovative solutions for transporting children on bicycles.
Expanding our brands reach to the Mountain Bike community, BikeSportz sponsored the 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championship in Cairns.
Time joined the BikeSportz family in 2018. Known for their quality frames, pedals, and cleats, they have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of perfection and are World leaders in quality.
In 2018, our team expanded to 35 team members, and we proudly formed a Marketing and Graphics department.
Basil is a passionate and committed Dutch cycling bag and basket manufacturer, who joined the BikeSportz family in 2018. Their quality, innovative, and sustainable products have become an essential addition to our business.
2019 saw the foundation of Remarc Creative. Remarc is a digital agency committed to creating visual designs, web development, and digital marketing solutions for BikeSportz and their retailers.
In 2019 we represented Santini at the Cairns & and Mooloolaba IRONMAN triathlon event with digital and onsite activations.
Bosch has been a proud member of the BikeSportz family since 2019, having formed a partnership with their e-Bike division to provide high-quality batteries and components to our Australian retailer network.
BikeSportz launched the Bosch Service Centre with a commitment to providing exceptional service and support for our customers.
BikeSportz partnered with AusCycling in 2019, an Official Business Partner. We're passionate about supporting the growth of cycling in Australia through competitive and grass roots levels.
In 2020, BikeSportz partnered with AFL teams the Fremantle Dockers and the premiership winning Richmond Tigers through Science in Sport.
2020 was a pivotal year for us as we took steps to further our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint. We installed solar panels on our rooftop and proudly embraced eco-friendliness.
Bryton joined BikeSportz in 2020 as a new player on the cycling GPS market. Bryton's passion for research and development has enabled them to quickly become a key player with the biggest names in the industry.
BikeSportz entered the New Zealand marketing, expanding our reach and creating opportunities to distribute and grow our family of brands.
Italian apparel giant Alpinestars joined the BikeSportz family in 2020. Known for their prominence in the world of sport, their famous sporting pedigree gives BikeSportz the opportunity to expand and nurture this prestigious brand here in Australia.
Known for high-performance breathing masks, Respro joined BikeSportz in 2020 and provides Australians with protection against air, pollen, and fire pollutions.

In 2021 BikeSportz launched the B2C website, BikeChain. BikeChain’s vision is to build brand awareness, connect retailers to consumers and provides expert brand support and educational resources.

In 2022 our warehouse extended further with the acquisition of the building next door to our warehouse, increasing our storage capacity by 30%.
We welcomed our first sports therapy brand Pulseroll in the BikeSportz family. Leaders in vibration training and recovery, Pulseroll equipment has been scientifically proven to reduce soreness, ease any aches, pains, and discomfort.
Our B2B site underwent a major transformation in 2022, bringing modern functionality and an improved user experience.
