As a brand manager for BikeSportz, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the top cycling brands from around the world. Last month, I had the opportunity to travel to The Netherlands to visit two of our premium brands, BBB Cycling in Leiden, and Basil in Ulft. It was an exciting trip filled with new product demonstrations, discussions about sustainability, and brainstorming about ways to help our customers better showcase these amazing brands in stores. In this blog post, I will share some of the highlights from my trip and the exciting things to come for BBB Cycling and Basil.
One of the things that impressed me the most about BBB Cycling was their commitment to sustainability. They are constantly seeking ways to make their products more environmentally friendly, from using recycled materials to more efficient packaging. During my visit, they unveiled their new line of Floor Pumps, which are not only more economical to ship but also take up less space in shops. These are set to be released later this year, and we are excited to bring them to our customers. It's great to see the cycling industry moving towards more sustainable practices, and BBB Cycling is leading the way.
My visit to Basil was equally impressive. They are known for their quality bags, baskets, and crates. The crates are now made in the Netherlands using at least 95% recycled materials, how good? We spent time discussing how we can further educate cyclists on the advantages of the MIK system, which is a game-changer for anyone looking for a secure and universal bike carrier system. And are excited to be in discussions with them about new marketing initiatives which will help our Basil dealers to showcase these great products more effectively in store.
One of the best parts of my trip was meeting the people behind these brands. The teams at BBB Cycling and Basil are both passionate about cycling and bringing innovative products to market. They truly care about their customers and their impact on the environment. It was great to see their energy and dedication in person and to be able to bring that excitement back to our customers.
To summarise, my trip to Europe to visit BBB Cycling and Basil was an incredible experience. The commitment to sustainability, innovation, and quality from both brands is inspiring. As a team, we are excited to continue working closely with them to bring their great products to more customers. Building strong partnerships with our brands is a key part of what we do at BikeSportz, and this trip reinforced the importance of face-to-face meetings and building on those relationships. We look forward to continued success with both BBB Cycling & Basil well into the future.
